Aromas of pear, ripe melon, white currants and flowers preface the 2021 Pouilly-Fuissé Pierrefolle, a medium to full-bodied, ample and satiny wine with a perfumed, saline finish.

Burghound: 90-93 Points

Moderate reduction presently pushes the underlying fruit to the background. There is a bit more volume and punch to the bigger-bodied flavors that possess a lovely texture if perhaps not quite the same finesse, all wrapped in a youthfully austere finish that flirts with rusticity. I like the balance and complexity and this should also richly repay mid-term keeping.
