The 2021 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru has a very clean and precise bouquet that is more pixelated than the Bienvenue. The palate is very well balanced and displays seamless integration thanks to the perfect line of acidity. This just sashays along, with touches of ginger and lemongrass towards the finish, wonderful salinity and nervosité - an achievement considering the vintage.

Here too there is enough reduction to overshadow the fruit. There is an ultra-refined mouthfeel and excellent volume to the super-intense medium weight flavors that possess better complexity on the hugely long and exquisitely balanced finale. This lacy BM is a wine of class and finesse that should age and improve gracefully over a 12 to 15 aging curve. Superb.
