Vibrant, mineral-accented dark berries, cherry-cola, potpourri and olive aromas show outstanding detail and spicy lift. Nicely concentrated but nervy as well, offering intense blueberry, cassis, bitter cherry and salty olive flavors with a bracing snap of cracked pepper. Shows impressive tension and finishes very long and precise, with well-judged tannins coming in late. 

Although this St.-Joseph only has 12.5% alcohol it is missing absolutely nothing. In fact it’s brimming with black raspberry and blood orange fruit, plus nuances of black and green pepper. Sleek and super-elegant palate with stunning velvety tannins and a very long floral finish, this is a 2021 masterpiece! From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold.

Harvested between the 25th of September and the 6th of October, the 2021 Saint Joseph has outstanding potential and has a medium-bodied, vibrant profile that does well in the vintage. Peppery darker fruits, violets, leather, and some spring flower notes, as well as classic Saint Joseph damp earth, define the bouquet, and it has good purity of fruit, soft tannins, and a good finish.
