Nicely packed, with juicy plum and raspberry pâte de fruit notes forming the core, while alder, black tea and warm earth accents score the finish. There's ample stuffing for the cellar, with fresh, lengthy drive thanks to underlying acidity. Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. Best from 2022 through 2036. 850 cases made, 176 cases imported. — JM

Vivid ruby. Spice-accented red and dark berries, licorice and_ garrigue_ on the highly perfumed nose. Sappy, expansive black raspberry and bitter cherry flavors unfurl and become sweeter with air while picking up a suave floral nuance. Shows very good depth and finishes long and spicy, with a hint of smokiness and rounded tannins lending gentle grip.
