Producer's Notes

When Barnaby and Olga visited the Basque Region of Spain and France and tasted some of the
Tannat wine produced there, they we hooked and dead-set on making this wine. Since 2016 they have been looking for Tannat and finally found some, but not in Oregon, in California. 

The second vintage of Tannat was made with the same fruit from CA. The wine is dense and velvety. Unfilterd, the mouth feel reveals layers of purple fruit and with barrel fermentaion the tannins are tamed. The wine is rich with soft tannins, blackberry, black mission fig and rosemary. In short, delicious.
