ROUND & EARTHY
From the Sasaichi Brewing Company in the Yamanashi prefecture, Dan Yamahai Junmai Ginjo is made with Omachi rice, and water sourced from the snowmelt of the Japanese icon, Mt. Fuji. Notes of Dried plum, apple, pear, and dried apricot combine with a richness that makes this great for rich foods. Pair with hearty Italian sauces, rich meats like Wagyu, and Venison.
Recommended Serving Temperature: 65°F - 75°F
It has a wonderful kind of apple/pear smell to it. It’s an impression of fruitiness… but it’s not that tropical melon/banana aroma. It’s much more crisp fruits. Really delicious and it almost feels a little nama-esque. There’s a little bit of that rich, juicy characteristic that you get in nama. The alcohol percentage is 16.5% and it’s very dense and rich.
