Korea’s history of craft Single Malt Whisky starts with Three Societies in Namyangju, just 40 minutes north of Seoul.
Our name derives from the three people that make up our distillery. The Scottish Master Distiller and Blender Andrew Shand, the Korean American founder Bryan Do, and the Korean workers that make our company possible. The logo symbolizes each country’s representative animals to protect our shield and distillery which is paving the way for world class whisky using traditional methods in a new land.
Ki One Batch 1 is the highly anticipated full-size release from Korea’s first single malt distillery Three Societies. This Korean single malt is matured exclusively in new American oak for just over two years and is bottled without chill filtration. Aromas of rich oak, vanilla, and buttery caramel emerge welcomingly from the glass. The whisky offers delicate flavors of banana and peach before finishing with assertive Korean spice. Batch 1 is a just the beginning for Three Societies and is a sign of even more greatness to come.
