A dramatic wine with full aromas of blackberries and wild herbs. The considerable depth creeps up on you slowly. With aeration, it develops a hint of chocolate that nicely underlines the long, polished finish. Try in 2022.

An attractively layered and exuberantly fresh nose merges aromas of red and dark berries with those of earth, leather and a whiff of spice. There is excellent verve to the equally fresh large-scaled flavors that also possess solid mid-palate density before terminating in a youthfully austere and sneaky long finish that is very firmly structured. Even so, the supporting tannins are finer than usual and overall, this is more refined than it typically is.

Aromas of cherry, spice and sweet sawdust lead to pure flavors of cherry and currant in this tightly wound red. Silky and balanced, but needs short-term aging to absorb the oak. Fine length. Best from 2021 through 2035.
