And just like that we present vintage no. 26 of our flagship Napa Valley Zinfandel, having regrettably skipped our milestone vintage no. 25 due to 2020 wildfire impacts. Traditionally — that is from 1996 through 2017 — our Napa Zin was comprised entirely of Brown Estate fruit. Commencing with the 2018 vintage we began integrating select lots of non-estate fruit to give this wine a wider range in terms of its nominal footprint — i.e., to expand its representation of Napa Valley Zinfandel beyond the confines of our property, and with benefit of David’s 20+ years working with this singular varietal. The current vintage is comprised of fruit from Brown Estate as well as our esteemed Chiles Valley neighbor Green & Red, along with two Valley floor vineyards from which we also produced standalone Zins for 2021. And on we go!

Sensory Eye: Garnet core, ruby rim. Nose: Hallmark characteristics of dried hibiscus flowers and rose petals, Asian spice, violets, cedar, vanilla-allspice-ginger spicebox, and subtle cedar. Palate: Medium body, soft, smooth, and supple with lush, creamy mouthfeel. Cellar life: Drink now through 2035+.
