Producer's Notes

Our Proprietary Pinot Noir is intended as a barrel selection - we choose the best barrels from the vintage to create the greatest wine possible. In 2016 all four barrels were from the Putnam Vineyard, so this vintage is also a single vineyard wine. The wine is deep and rich with dark fruits, Santa Rosa plum, exotic spices and notes of spearmint.

Wine Advocate: 90 Points

Pale to medium ruby, the 2016 Pinot Noir is scented of cranberry sauce, red cherry preserves, blackberries and warm red berries with underlying notions of savory herbs, bay leaf and forest floor. The palate is light to medium-bodied with spicy red fruits in the mouth framed by soft grainy tannins and with a satisfying finish. 75 cases were made.
