Composed of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon heritage clones from Block 1 and Block 2, the deep ruby-purple ‘1 Post’ Cabernet Sauvignon has a beautiful nose of dark chocolate, sweet pipe tobacco, wild blackberry and black cherry, plus wafts of dried rose, kirsch, and graphite. The full-bodied palate offers a plush and seamless transition from the first sip to the lingering finish. Rich, chocolatey tannins play harmoniously with bold yet refined layers of savory spices, Madagascar vanilla, boysenberry, blueberry and hints of star anise spice. The balance of acid, tannin, and beautiful fruit make 1 Post cellar worthy. Decanting suggested.
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate 1 Post is produced from Block 1 Cabernet Sauvignon on the estate vineyard, planted to heirloom selections. Deep garnet-purple colored, it needs coaxing to unlock scents of crème de cassis, wild blueberries and juicy plums, plus hints of dark chocolate, menthol and cedar. Full-bodied and built like a brick house, it has firm, grainy tannins with well-knit freshness and loads of bright minerally nuances, finishing very long and deliciously savory. 324 cases were made.

A rich, sumptuous wine, the 1 Post is silky, layered and exceptionally beautiful right out of the gate. Floral accents and bright acids perk up a core of red-fleshed fruit in this mid-weight, supremely elegant Cabernet from Evyn Cameron.
