This has perfumed aromas of lavender, ripe blackberries and cedar. Some graphite, too. It’s full-bodied with firm tannins. Layers of ripe dark fruit linger. So much power and depth. From organically grown grapes. Drink from 2023.
The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Elevation 1147 is sumptuous, racy and yet with good structure. Readers should plan on cellaring the 2018 for a few years to allow the tannins to soften. There is good energy and power, but in an understated style.

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Elevation 1147 stands out for its energy, vibrancy and delineation. It has a bit less heft than the other Cabernets, but a bit more drive. Fruit notes take on slightly redder tones in a nervous, taut Cabernet Sauvignon that bristles with energy. Crushed rocks, sage, mint and savory notes add gorgeous aromatic presence throughout.

Lastly, the flagship 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Elevation 1147 offers lots of cedar pencil and tobacco nuances as well as beautiful cassis fruit, medium to full-bodied richness, a seamless, elegant texture, and a great finish. This isn't for those looking for opulence or massive texture, but it has a Bordeaux-like sense of balance as well as structure, and I suspect it will age gracefully. Give bottles 4-5 years and it should evolve for two decades in cold cellars.
Densely packed, with cassis and plum reduction flavors framed by a well-roasted apple wood note. Tar, sweet bay leaf and sassafras notes peek in too, adding range. Seriously grippy on the back end, with a bolt of cast iron through the finish. For those who like the burly mountain style and have the patience to wait it out. Best from 2024 through 2034. 460 cases made.
