The 2021 D2 is mostly Merlot but includes 36% Cabernet Sauvignon and splash of Cabernet Franc. Named after the well-known route in the Médoc, it has a terrific bouquet of currants, lead pencil shavings, spice, and a touch of flowers. This carries to a medium to full-bodied, round, supple, beautifully balanced red with integrated tannins and a great finish. Its purity and balance are spot on.
