The 2021 Meursault Les Porusots 1er Cru has one of the finest aromatics from Roulot in this vintage: shimmering flint, green apple, petrichor and orange pith scents with laser-like focus. The palate is very well-balanced, fresh and vibrant, with impressive tension, but perhaps the season precluded the weight and density on the finish to complete this wine. Yet, it is still a great Meursault
A cool and all-but mute nose grudgingly reveals its layered nose of green apple, citrus zest and discreet floral nuances. There is outstanding density, size, weight and power to the big-bodied flavors that exude a subtle bead of minerality on the sappy and hugely persistent finale. This is textbook Porusot and one that should age accordingly, especially in magnum format.
Aromas of citrus oil, white flowers, freshly baked bread and vanilla pod preface the 2021 Meursault 1er Cru Porusot, a medium-bodied, fleshy and enveloping wine with a satiny attack, racy acids and a fine-boned, charming profile.
