There is freshness here with redcurrants, pomegranate, black pepper, flowers and earthy notes. Medium- to full-bodied, this has sweet fruit on the palate, velvety tannins, an integrated, refreshing acidity and a brilliant finish. Delicious to drink now, though this crunchy wine has aging potential.
’a Rina is a co-fermentation made from Giuseppe's various holdings on the north side of Etna, vinified in a mixture of stainless steel and open-top vats, then matured for 12 months in large Slavonian oak casks and concrete tanks. Perfumed, earthy and spicy, it's a vibrant and intense Etna Rosso, with zippy acidity driving raspberry, strawberry, cherry, blood orange and spice details. Beautiful.
