This is also quite floral in character, which adds a touch of elegance to the aromas of petrol, rosemary oil and citrus confit. The succulent and caressing yet decidedly powerful medium-bodied flavors also conclude in a bone-dry, citrusy and youthfully austere finale. This is also very well-balanced but quite tightly coiled and a wine that is going to need at least some patience. Worth your interest.
The 2021 Chassagne-Montrachet Morgeot 1er Cru (Marquis de Laguiche) has a more complex and engaging bouquet than the preceding Meursault-Perrières with lovely dried flower and light nectarine scents, an underlying mineralité that should develop with bottle age. The palate has plenty of vigour, perfectly-judged acidity with impressive weight on the finish. This just seems to unfurl and it should provide immense pleasure.
