The 2018 Chardonnay is quite ripe and tropical on the nose, blending mango and papaya with green citrus and hints of hazelnut. It’s silky in feel, coasting along a medium-bodied frame with balancing acidity that keeps this larger-scaled Chard coloring within the lines. Hints of banana, sweet spice and vanilla linger. Although quite extroverted and fruit-forward, I can certainly see an audience for this wine.
