On this historic, undulating site in Friuli, where vineyards have been terraced and harvested since the sixteenth century, the fruit acts as a mere vehicle for something greater than the sum of its parts. The ponca soil, for example, Friuli’s signature limestone, marl, and sandstone earth, in combination with Lorenzo Mocchiutti’s loving, holistic touch, create a wine with otherworldly vitality and inviting aromatics. The result is generous and intricate, with pulsating acidity. Expect the unexpected when popping the cork.
