Even if some of the most sought-after, complex single malts have benefitted from this type of aging vessel for many years, this process is not often seen in the world of rum: Pagos is a world premiere, the first ever experiment to age Hampden Estate rum in ex-sherry casks.

Through a very special partnership with Bodegas Lustau, founded in 1896 and one of the leading producers in Jerez, Hampden Estate has secured access to top-quality casks used to age the best Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherries.
