Like the Lavières, there is a touch of post-bottling reduction but there is excellent freshness and underlying tension on the palate of the rich and wonderfully textured bigger-bodied and tautly muscular flavors that culminate in a dusty, compact and very clearly built-to-age finale. This isn't as dense as it usually is but it's even finer and the balance is so good that this beauty should age for as long as anyone might reasonably care to.
