This wine opens with aromas of black cherry both fresh and macerated, giving way to wildflowers, savory spice and wild herbs. The palate is concentrated with lush ripe red and blackberries, cola and sweet spice. Round and fleshy, the wine is balanced with the natural acidity of the Barbera itself. Drink now–2035.

Aromas of cherry chocolate, dark licorice, hints of bark and moist earth. Full-bodied with velvety, supple tannin structure and some chalky texture in the finish. Juicy and flavorful.

The 2020 Barbera d'Asti Montebruna is a plump and rich red with ripe berry notes, toasted spice, cinnamon and grilled Mediterranean herb. Despite the heft and brawn of this wine, the mouthfeel is pushed along by fresh acidity and a powerful 15% alcohol content. This is perfect companion to a meal heavy in cheese or cream.

Smooth and permeated with cherry, blackberry and earth flavors, this red is fleshy from beginning to end. Reveals almond and spice accents on the finish, along with light tannins.
